Vuze Leap

The summer of 2014 saw the launch of a dummy-proof, simple, and lightweight torrent client: Azureus Software’s Vuze Leap. This is a simplified version of the existing Vuze torrent client. It has a minimal interface, it features a search function, it can quickly download torrents off the web and onto your computer. For people who want to quickly download torrents, it is a very good choice.

The Vuze Leap setup wizard allows you to customize the installation. You can set the installation directory, choose if you want Vuze Leap to be your default magnet torrent client, and pick if you want Vuze Leap to automatically run at startup.
At the time of writing this, Vuze Leap is available for Windows only. Azureus Software explained that support for Mac OS X is coming soon.

As mentioned above, Vuze Leap has a minimal interface. A blue ribbon at the top is home to the following buttons:
Vuze Leap – this section features a search box, free content bundles, and links to Vuze Leap’s Facebook, Google+, and Twitter.
Find – use this to find torrents and initiate the download.
Download – all running downloads are presented here. You can view the download speed, pause the download, resume the download, and open the download folder.
Play – play downloaded media (audio or video files).
Settings – set the download folder, pick if you want Vuze Leap to run at startup, set upload/download limits, check for updates, set Vuze Leap as your default torrent client.

Using Vuze Leap is a very simple process: use the search function to find a torrent, launch the download process, and wait for it to complete; or set Vuze Leap as your default client, find torrents online, and start downloading them via Vuze Leap. It is worth mentioning that Vuze Leap is a lightweight torrent client. It is optimized for speed and doesn’t need lots of resources.
